We know that an acidic buffer consists of weak acid and its salt with a strong base. Acetic acid is a weak acid and sodium acetate its salt with strong base NaOH. Therefore, it is an acidic buffer. Whereas, sulphuric acid is a strong acid. A basic buffer solution consists of a weak base (such as ammonium hydroxide) and its salt (such as ammonium chloride).
