Melting point of alkali metallic halides depends on the reactivity of a cation and strength of the ionic bond formed. For alkali metal chloride as we move down the group, the reactivity and strength of the ionic bond increases. Therefore, LiCl has a lower melting point and CsCl has a higher melting point.
