A thermosetting polymer is a polymer which once hardened cannot be reheated and melted to be shaped differently unlike thermoplastic polymer. Examples for both are as below: Thermosetting plastics – Bakelite, Melmac, urea- formaldehyde. Thermoplastics – Glyptal, PAN (polyacrylonitrile), Teflon, Nylon-6, polypropylene, PVC, PMMA, Polystyrene, Polythene.
