Assertion : If 30 mL of H₂ and 20 mL of O₂ react to form  water,  5  mL  of  H₂  is  left  at  the  end  of  the reaction Reason :H₂ is the limiting reagent.

A.A
B.B
C.C
D.D✓ Correct
Explanation

From the balanced chemical equation, we know that- 1  mole  of  hydrogen  and  1 2 mole  of  oxygen  when reacts, leads to the formation of 1 mole of water. Therefore, the reactant which is completely used up in the reaction is limiting reactant. Here 30 mL of 2 H  reacts with 15 mL of 2 O  and 5mL of 2 O  will be left at the end of reaction. In  this  case,  hydrogenn  is  the  limiting reagent.  So, absence of hydrogen will stop the reaction.
